It's the day after Christmas and all through the house all the kitties are stirring but I have the mouse.
With the gift of a MacBook Pro I am inspired to start blogging. I know that I am late on the blog train but it is still fun to try to think of things to write about. This is going to be a interesting exercise and we will see how long I stick with it. Longer than Facebook I hope. Although, I think with followers I would be more inspired to keep up with it. Christmas was nice this year, although subdued. We are still in the process of trying to sell our house in this market and so we are living in limbo at the moment. I feel good about a trip to the animal shelter this year to save a dog. My dad wanted a new dog for Christmas and we went down on the 24th and got a sweet little chewennie of the advanced age of 10. His name is Mikey and he is a sweet little boy who will make a great pet. I always wonder how such wonderful animals end up in the shelter. Especially, an older boy like Mikey. He must have been so confused as to where his people went. I can't wait to see his fear go away and his real personality come out. So now that Christmas is past, it is time to look to the New Year. At this time I always try to remember what I thought this year would bring at this time last year and never the twains do meet. Each year is full of surprises and I have no reason to think 2011 will be any different. Some things happen that are wonderful, some mundane, some tragic but it is the stuff of life. I can't ask for more than that.
